2）“预定的”“约定的”“预定要到达或发生的”，也通常用作表语，其后可接不定式3）“适当的”“合适的”“应得的”，通常只放在名词前作定语①My salary is due tomorrow.我明天领薪②A great deal of money is due to you.要付给你一大笔钱③When is the train due？火车什么时候到？④The meeting isn't due to start until four.会议预定要到四点才召开⑤We should pay due attention to this problem.我们应对这个问题予以适当的关注用法拓展because of，owing to，due to，on account of 和 thanks to 的用法比较这一组词都表示“由于”，在使用时应该注意以下区别：1）because of意为“由于，因为”，强调因果关系，在句中仅作状语，修饰句中的一部分，与其他成分不用逗号隔开2）owing to与because of一样，也强调因果关系，除作状语外，也可作表语作状语时修饰整个句子，可在句首或句末，用逗号隔开。

3）due to引出造成后果的原因，在句中作表语、状语和定语作表语和状语时与owing to同义，作状语时，一般不与其他成分隔开还有“due to” 的意思是“caused by”，如果在句子中due to 可以被 caused by 代替，那么这个句子就是正确的，反之则是错误的它和because of，caused by 的用法区别可看如下几个例子：Incorrect：The game was postponed due to rain.Correct：The game was postponed because of rain.Correct：The game's postponement was due to rain.4）on account of与because of，owing to同义，但语气较为正式可作状语、表语，不作定语5）thanks to表示“幸亏，多亏”，多用于表达正面意思，相当于感谢，在句中作状语和表语①They decided to cancel the flight owing to the storm.由于这场暴风雨，他们决定取消这个航班②Her success was due to her hard work.她成功是因为她努力工作。
