She gets angry easily.★afford  v. 负担得起① vt. 买得起（常与can/can’t连用）afford sth. I can afford the coat.② vt. 担负得起（损失、后果等），花得起（时间）（常与can/can’t连用）afford money/time I can afford the hoilday.    (有时间去)I can afford five yuan.I can only afford one week for the trip.afford to do sth.I can’t afford to be ill again.   我不能再病了。

I can afford to buy the book.③ vt. 提供，给予Joe afforded us a room for the night.★interrupt     v. 插话, 打断interrupt     v. 打断某人的话disturb    v. 打扰某人Sorry to disturb you.interruption      n. 中断，打断🌻Part 3: key notes1. secretary n.秘书secret n.秘密         2. nervous adj.精神紧张的nervous:事情正在发生worried:为以后的事情担心upset:不安的，事情发生以后         3. afford v.负担得起afford sth.  Eg. I can afford the book. 我能够支付书钱afford money/time   eg. I can afford five yuan. 我支付得起5元钱afford to do sth.   Eg. I can afford to buy the book. 我能买得起书。

注意】一定要加情态动词can         4. interrupt v.插话，打断n. interruptiondisturb sb. 打扰某人interrupt sb. 打断某人的话         5. look up 朝上看look down 朝下看look down upon/on sb. 瞧不起某人（词义太重）         6. The firm could not afford to pay such large salaries.（★重点）pay salaries 支付薪水；collect salary 领薪水         7. 如此：so, suchso的后面加形容词或副词such的后面加名词，允许在该名词前加修饰词         8. My turn has come.（书面语）轮到我了It's my turn.（口语）轮到我了         9. in a ... voicein a loud/low/weak/strong voicelow 音量低；weak 心里不塌实         10. extra, other, more, another最灵活的是moremore可以放数词和名词之间，甚至可以放在整个名词的后面extra和other一定放在数词和名词之间，another一定放在数词前面记住几个短语：one extra thousand; two others; once more; another three daysPart 4: Grammar 主系表结构 主系表结构是由主语+系动词+表语(S+V+P)组成，主要用以说明主语的特征，状态，身份等。

 P 一般是形容词或名词，V 是系动词 E.g. The report sounds interesting. 这则消息听起来很有趣 The desk feels hard． 书桌摸起来很硬 ( the report 是主语，sounds 是系动词，interesting 是形容词作表语)(Thedesk 是主语，feel 是系动词，hard 是形容词，作表语)  She is beautiful. 她很漂亮 (she 做主语，is 是系动词， beautiful 是形容词，做表语) The hamburger looks good. (the hamburger 做主语，look 是系动词， good 是形容词，做表语) 常见的系动词 （1）表示特征和存在状态的：be, feel, look, smell, taste, sound. （2）表示状态延续的 keep   （3）表示状态变化的：become, get, turn, go, come 练习表示特征和存在状态的 1. You don’t look very well. 你看起来不是特别好     2. The roses smell sweet. 玫瑰花闻起来很香 3. How sweet the music sounds! 这首乐曲听起来很好听返回表示状态延续的 1.Children, keep quiet please. 孩子们，请保持安静返回表示状态变化的 1. Mary’s face went red. 玛丽的脸变红了。
