My teaching topic is “How do you get to school?”•  This lesson is made up of 4 parts.   •Part 1: Analysis of teaching material.•Part 2 Teaching methods.•Part 3 Studying methods.•Part 4 Teaching procedures. Part 1: Analysis of teaching material.•1 Status and function• This is Unit4,Book B,Grade 8,Junior English.And it is the fourth period of Unit 4. The language goal is to express how to get to places. The topic is about students’ daily life. The students are interested in it and they can open their mouths easily. Based on oral English, it is easy for them to write down how to get to places.This class , students must learn to write their own passages after learning the ways in which people in some countries get to places. 2 Teaching aims and demands.• (1) knowledge objects.•Grasp the phases: •North America bus stop depend on  by boat around the world              a small number of • in other part of the world• Understand the sentences: That must be a lot more fun than taking a bus.In places where there are rivers and lakes of China, students take boats to school. Oh, that’s funny. •(2) Ability objects.•To develop students’ 4 skills, especially reading and writing abilities.•To train students’ cooperation and self-exploring abilities.•To train students’ ability of guessing the new words.•(3) Emotion objects.•Encourage students to communicate according to their daily life.•Know the culture of some English-speaking coutries.•Improve students’ interest in English. 3 Key points.• Reading and writing skills.4 Difficult points•Reading and writing skills.•Understand the difference of the verb phrases and preposition phrases, then let children master their usages. Part 2 Teaching methods.• The aim of the class is to train students’ reading and writing abilities. My teaching methods are Task-based Approach and Communicative Approach. To attract children’s interest, I’ll use the CAI. Using different methods can make the class active. Part 3 Studying methods.• When students write their own articles,they are often afraid of their mistakes. By reading and grasping the important sentences, students get the guide of writing. Part 4 Teaching procedures.• In this part, I’ll talk about it from 6 steps. At the beginning of the class, I’ll divide my students into 6 groups. There are 10 students in each group. Choose a leader to write down the result of the survey. Step 1:Warming up  (Review the language, notice the third singular person.)T: How do you get to school?S: walk ride a bike take a bus take a car take the subway take the trainIto school.I go to school by +交通工具交通工具\ on foot.Teacher and a student ask and answer. •Teacher and the other students ask and answer.•T: How does he/she get to school?• walks•Ss: He/She rides a bike to school.• takes a bus... •  He/She goes to school by +交通工具\ on foot.•    • Call several students and repeat. The leader of each group write down the result of the survey.(Practice speaking and train students’ cooperation ability.)Number of students Step 5 Writing Write an article about how students get to school according to the following chart.•You can use most=51%-99%, some=1%-50%, no=0% to express your idea .You can use the beginning like this: I did a survey about how students get to school. Her home is far away from school, so she gets to school in her father's car. No students get to school by train, because there aren't trains in my county. Step 6 •Correct some mistakes that you find out in your articles, then copy them on your exercise books and hand in them tomorrow.You can also write your new articles according to the result of your survey. 。
