形容词（I）——形容词的用法与位置一、形容词的用法 1、作定语，位于名词前只可作定语的形容词有：golden，wooden，outer，inner，daily，elder，little，live等 2、作表语，放在连系动词之后只可作表语的形容词有：well，unable，worth，sorry，sure，glad及以字母a-为词首的词asleep，afraid，alone，awake等 3、作宾语补足语，放在宾语后面 The news made them happy. 4、两个形容词用and连起来放在句末可以作状语或补语 They returned from the war safe and sound. 5、“the+形容词”可表示一类人或一类事物二、形容词在句中的位置 1、在名词短语中作定语，通常置于它所修饰的名词之前 2、修饰复合不定代词时须后置 3、表语形容词修饰名词须后置 He is the only man awake at that time. 4、和表示长、宽、高、厚等的形容词与数词连用作定语须后置 The bridge is 150 meters long. 5、用and或or连接的两个形容词作定语时须后置 a huge room simple and beautiful一间简朴而美观的大房间 6、形容词短语作定语一般后置 a man difficult to get on with三、多个形容词的排列顺序 ※限定描绘大长高，形状年龄和新老；颜色国籍跟材料，作用类别往后靠。
