(2)need用作情态动词,意为“必须”、“必要” ,没有人称、数的变化,后接不带to的动 词不定式通常用于疑问句和否定句中, 构成疑问句和否定句时,不需要使用助动 词 e.g.Needyougototheparkwithyour classmate? (3)由need引出的疑问句,答语表肯定时用 must或haveto;表示否定时用neednt或 donthaveto。

      例如: A:NeedIcometoworktomorrow? B:Yes,youmust/haveto. 3.Wecouldputupsigns. sign是名词,具体用法如下: (1)“标牌,招牌”例如: thesignofbarbersshop (2)“记号,符号” (3)“示意动作”例如: Theteachermadeasigntoustobequiet.       例如: Wemustputourmoneytogooduse. (2)by+doing表示“通过做”,by后还可 加名词表示交通方式例如: Shegoestoschoolbybus. Ilearnenglishbylisteningtothetapes. 4.NotonlydoIfeelgoodabouthelpingother people,butIgettospendtimedoingwhat Ilovetodo. (1) notonly置于句首时,该句子要用部分倒 装语序此外,notonly.but(also).连 接的成分要符合平行结构原则;当连接两 个主语时,谓语动词应遵循“就近原则”, 即和离它最近的主语在人称和数上保持一 致例如: NotonlyIbutalsoshelikesreading.
