Let students master the useful words and expression about travel.2. Let students briefly grasp useful expressions about describing a travel destination and making a travel plan . 3. Get students to practice focusing key information and details while listening a dialogue. 4. Get students to talk about topics related to a travel.Importance:1. Get students to practice grasping key information and details while listening a dialogue. 2. Get students to talk about topics relating to a travel.Difficulty:4. Guide the students to combine the topic with useful expressions about, and express themselves freely .1.Ask the students to make preparations in vocabulary and phrases related to the theme of the period.2. Help the students to finish the Guided Learning PlanStep 1Warming up1. Get the students to do some preparations in vocabulary.apply for ________ pack________ book ________ research________ rent________ flight ________ passport________ visa________ a guide book_______ the local weather_______Activity 1 Before listening, get the students to discuss the following question in groups. 1. If you have the chance to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? 2.What do you need to do to prepare for the trip?Possible answers:1. If I have a chance to travel in the world, I would like to go to European countries, such as France, Germany and England.2. I think if I go abroad, I should make a careful preparation. First, I should apply for a passport and a visa of course, and then I will book a flight. If possible, I should book a hotel before setting off. Step 2 listening (1) Activity 2 Guide the students to listen to the first two conversations and choose the correct answers. Remind the students to pay attention to tips— Focus on key words:“Dont try to catch every word in a conversation. Instead, listen for key words and phrases.
