Analysis of the students The students in Grade 3 are about ten years old.They are really lively and active . For English,they are full of curiosity and freshness,but they lack of the self-study ability . They usually stop speaking English as soon as they leave class. It’s not good for learning English. 三、Teaching aims1. Knowledge aims:(1)To listen, read and write the new words : tall ,short ,thin and fat.(2)Be able to describe some animals with adjectives and the sentences Look at that ….It’s ….2. Then show the picture of a zoo.And tell the children:Today,let’s go to the zoo . We’ll see more animals at the zoo. Purpose of my designing: The beginning can arouse the students’ interest of study. Educate the students to follow the rules at the zoo.(The students will receive moral education while they are learning English .)Step 2.PresentationTo visit the zoo as the main line to learn the new knowledge of this lesson.1.I’ll use CAI to show some pictures for the students to review some words about animals.It’s a brain storm.Then show a new friend to learn the word giraffe.2. Let’s learn:Show the pictures to teach the new words tall and short.Emphasize the pronunciation of them.After reading them ,lead the students to describe the giraffes with the sentences:Look at that_.It’s__.Then perform the actions Be tall,be tall,be tall, tall,tall .
