Teaching emotional goal 教学情感目标:People have cut down too many trees, and it has caused too many problems for the earth, so we should realize the importance of protecting our home-the earth. 重点单词,词组sand ,sandstorm ,although, desert, reduce , as a result,human beings , cut down , change into ……..重点词组、句子用法的讲解1. change into…..change….into…2. ………3. ………草稿部分(写例句等)三.教学过程Step 1 Greeting and Warming upGreeting: Good morning, everyone.In the last topic, we have learned all sorts of pollution: such as noise pollution, air pollution, soil pollution, light pollution, and water pollution. Yes, our environment is becoming worse and worse.Then lead to sandstorm .Step 2 PresentationⅠ. Now, please turn to page 35.I’ll give you three questions before you read this conversation.1.What are they talking about?2.What causes this kind of bad weather?3.Tree’s functions.I’ll give you five minutes to read this conversation, then answer my questions. Do you understand? OK!Begin!(5minutes later….) Time is up. Who can tell me the answer to the questions? Who want to try? Volunteer? Check the answer.检查学生是否做完题目,并且引导题目能在对话中找出问题的答案。

I really want to change paper into money.③ Trees can stop the wind from blowing the earth away.stop sb./sth. from doing sth. eg: Nobody can stop/prevent him from learning④ Although we have built“the Great Green Wall”,we still need to work hard to protect the environment.although“虽然,尽管”;引导让步状语从句eg:Although I felt tired , I was still very happy.Step3 Consolidation前面在1a中同学们已经对沙尘暴有了一定的了解,出示3,让学生完成沙尘暴的形成过程,进而巩固1a: many trees → cut down trees → forests gone → wash the earth away→change into desert → sandstorm coming into being Step4 practice1.listen to 1a,pay attention to the pronunciation.2.listen to 1a again, and find out the functions of trees.3.repeat the functions of trees in groups.Step5 Homework熟读课文,写一篇关于沙尘暴形成以及预防的小短文,并预习下一部分的课文以及完成后面的练习。
