As a science it requires considerable engineering knowledge of explosives and their effect on a variety of materials.Since 1963 the Blasting Code has been a valuable reference book for certificated construction blasters, as well as providing assistance for candidates who are preparing for the construction blasters’ examination.Metrication and revision of this code has been jointly carried out by representatives from the construction industry and departmental officers.G.
