1、形容词比较级的用法1表示两者之间进行比较时用比较级，其结构为“ A+be+比较级+ than +B”Eg: Tom is taller than Tim.Lilys room is bigger than mine.She is fatter than Lily.注意：为了避免重复，在 than 后常用 the one, that, those 等词来替代前面出现过的名词。其中 the one 替代可数名词单数形式， the ones 或 those 替代可数名词复数形式， that 替代不可数名词。Eg :The weather in Beijing is colder than that in Guangzhou in winter.This ruler is longer than that one.This mooncake is nicer than that one.2. 表示两者之间进行选择“哪一个更”时，用句型“ Which/Who is +形容词比较级，A or B?”表示。Eg :Who is taller, Li Ming or Wang Tao?Which

2、 sweater is more beautiful, the yellow one or the pink one?3. 表示“比时”，用“倍数+比较级+than ”表示Eg :I am three years older than you.4. 表示“两者之间最的一个(of the two)”时，常用“the +比较级”结构。Eg :Mary is the taller of the twins.5. 表示“越来越”，用比较级重叠结构，即“比较级+and+比较级”，多音节词和部分双音节词用“m ore and more +形容词原级”。Eg :Its getting warmer and warmer in spring.Our hometown is becoming more and more beautiful.6表示“越就越”时，用“the +比较级，the +比较级”结构。Eg :The warmer the weather, the better I feel.7.有表示程度的副词 a little, a bit, a lot, much, even, still,

3、far, rather, any 等修饰时，用形容词比较级。Eg: Its much colder today than before.注意：farther和further都是far的比较级，farther和further都表示“较远的”, 但是 further 也可指“更多，进一步”。Eg :She wants to have a further study.older和elder都是old的比较级，older “较老的，较旧的,年纪较大的”; elder”年长的”。Eg :He is older than you .He is my elder brother.，牢记下列结构：any other+单数名词 the other +复数名词any one/anybody elseany of the other + 复数名词the rest of +复数名词或者不可数名词比较级的特殊用法：比较级+than + any other + Ya:比较级的对象不能互相包容注意：在同一范围内进行比较时，必须把主体排除在被比较的范围之外。Eg :China is larger than any

4、other country in Asia. 中国比亚洲其他任何一个国家都大。（同一范围内，只能和其他对象进行比较）China is larger than any country in Africa. 中国比非洲的任何一个国家都大。（在不同范围内，可以和其中任何一个对象进行比较）b:在两者进行比较表示“ A不如B”时，多音节和部分双音节形容词除使用“ not as /so+ 形容词原级 +as ” 结构外，还可使用“ less+ 形容词原级 +than ”结构。 Eg :I am not as careful as Lily.I am less careful than Lily.我没有莉莉仔细。形容词和副词的比较级和最高级的构成： 1.规则变化：构成方法原级比较级最高级单音节和部分双音节词一般在词尾加-er 或-esthigh tall short slowhigher taller shorter slowerhighest tallest shortest slowest以字母e结尾的词，在词尾加 -r 或-stfine latefiner laterfinest latest重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写该辅音字母，再加-er或-estbig thin fatbigger thinner fatterbiggest thinnest fattest以“辅音字母 +y”结尾的双音节词，先把“y” 改为“i”，再加 -er 或-esteasy funny earlyeasier funnier earliereasiest funniest earliest音词部双节多节和分音词在词前加more 或 mostbeautiful interesting comfortable comfortablymore beautiful more interesting more comfortable more comfortablymost beautiful most interesting most comfortable most comfortably2.不规则变化（114）
