Unit 1 My job It sounds strange because you really don’t hear people say that very often. But I really do. I love the company I work for and I love what I do.  I’m working in an import and export company as a sales person. My duty is to promote our products to the potential customers and get as much as profit for my company.  The reasons make me love my job so much are firstly, in my job, I can meet a lot of people, they are coming from different countries and let me know different cultures and ways of thinking.  Secondly, through the business discussion with the customers, I practiced my reasoning and communicating abilities, and I believe all these will benefit me a lot even in other areas of my life.  Last but not the least, the company which I’m working for is a good company with good ethic and credits, colleagues around are also very kind and friendly.  Because of all these make me really enjoy my working everyday. I love my job.  Unit 2 Internet   Internet is very important to me and I can say I like it pretty much.   Besides the more popular internet ordering food, clothes, etc., I dare say the future internet will somehow control our lives remotely. For instance, you are in this city to run the machine in another city through internet.   Since internet is available everywhere, all my friends mail me. And we keep circulating our documents and regular greets on this....We now chat, correspond, blog, shop, browse, listen to music, learn, work, update ourselves, govern countries, run corporations, and much more, via the Internet. It has given me the opportunity to learn beyond my wildest dreams. It has provided me with a wealth of knowledge at my fingertips. It's has allowed me the privilege to know tons of people from all walks of life from all over the world. It has made me realize what my potentials are and how I can do whatever I want to do in life. I don't know how I can live without it.  Unit 3 the environmental problems In recent years, due to the lack of human environment value, arbitrary, deforestation, excessive to build factories, the living environment has been severely damaged, the various environmental problems come one after another: deforestation, soil erosion, Jan dust storms, floods, acid rain, ozone hole ...the population live in turbid air; mammals and bird species on the brink of extinction; soil erosion; forest at an annual rate of 4500000 hectares to disappear, it has sent us a solemn warning: if only the blind sucking natural milk, but not the immediate action, protect environment, save the homeland into battle, the ultimate destruction of the will we human beings. Artificially environmental destruction, is tantamount to dig one's own grave.    In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people mean more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.  Unit 4 A letter of apology Dear Boss：      I am very sorry for missing the presentation which was scheduled on June 28, 2012, regarding the environment change review in our company. My friend was very ill and he was hospitalized since last 3 weeks. I had to take care of him and that's why I was not able to make it for the scheduled appointment. He came Taiyuan for a trip and I was his only former classmate here and no one else could take him to the hospital.  Now Her is fine and I guess he is able to find his way home by himself. I am requesting you to arrange my presentation as soon as possible. I want to thank you for your understanding and patience. I am looking forward to the next presentation when I won’t miss that no matter what.             Regards,                      Jing Yu  Unit 5 Primary School Life    When I was seven years old, I went to a primary school in our city. My primary school is quite big. It has a big playground, thirty classrooms and some special rooms. Every morning we have three classes and every afternoon we have three classes too. We study a lot of knowledge from these classes. My first day at school was very interesting, and I was very happy that day. I met a lot of other kids at school but I had one particular friend, whose name is Lily. She had a round face, a pair of big eyes. In our class, there are 30 classmates, and we get on well with each other. We used to play different games, during the breaks between lessons, girls chat together while boys play balls happily.     I can still remember our class teacher, Miss Joan. she is very kind, nice and friendly. We all loved her very much. Although I left the primary school a long time ago, I miss every thing at schoo。
