Write a short paragraph about their favorite hobbies.Materials Needed• Copies of the textbook with Unit 4 Section A• Whiteboard, markers, and eraser• Handouts with reading passages and discussion questions• Writing paper and pens/pencilsProcedureWarm-up (5 minutes)Begin the class with a warm-up activity to activate students’ prior knowledge and engage their interest. Show pictures of people engaging in different hobbies (e.g., playing sports, reading, painting) and ask students to identify the hobbies. Encourage them to share their own hobbies and discuss them briefly with a partner.Pre-reading Activity (10 minutes)To introduce the new vocabulary words, write them on the whiteboard and ask students to guess their meanings. Clarify any misunderstandings and reinforce the pronunciation. Then, provide a list of sentences and ask students to match the sentences with the corresponding vocabulary words. Review the answers as a class.Reading (15 minutes)Distribute the reading passage about different hobbies to each student.
