ABSTRACT: More and more electronic devices connected to the grid, and bring a large number of harmonics. To meet harmonic standards, power factor correction (PFC) technology is becoming a hotspot. The efficiency of PFC converter is low with the global operating voltage range (85-265V) at low voltage input voltage. So, bridgeless PFC converter topology caused the attention of researchers at home and abroad. This paper describes the development status of the bridgeless PFC converter and a comprehensive overview of the course of development of Boost, Sepic, Cuk bridgeless PFC converter topology. Furthermore, bridgeless PFC converter topology synthesis program is divided into three categories, respectively. Finally, the development direction of the bridgeless converter topology is presented.
