Unit 7 At the ReataurantLesson 11.Are you ready to order ? 你准备好点餐了吗？（1）ready adj. 准备好的be( get )ready for sth. /to do sth.e.g. He is always ready to help his friends.Are you ready for the dinner ?Let’s get ready to have our English party .The farmers are busy getting ready for the next year .(2) order n.顺序 ,v.点餐 order sb.sth.=order sth. for sb.为某人点某物e.g.He ordered me an egg.=He ordered an egg for me .2.Is there anything else ? 还有其他东西吗？（1）else 意为 “其他的”在句中做 anything 的定语，anything else =any other things ,else做定语时，不能修饰名词，通常修饰不定代词 something ,somebody,anything,anybody,nothing ,nobody 等e.g. I don’t want anything else .If you don’t like eggs ,I can cook something else .3.Here are your menus .这是菜单。

这句话是倒装句，当主语是名词时，用全倒装，当主语是代词时，用半倒装e.g. Here you are .Here is your ticket .4.Can I have some more soup ?(1) Can I have some more …?表请求，提出要求“我想多要一些 ”在这个句子中习惯用 some 不用“any”(2) 句中 more 是形容词，意为＂另外的，更多的＂置于名词前 e.g. I want more eggs .(3)more 表示超过的，额外的，置于数词或 any ,some ,no , a few ,a little many much 等后面e.g. I’ll take three more .We need a few more chairs .You should eat some more vegetables .I have no money with me .(4) more 也是 many ,much 的比较级，意为更多的 .e.g. I have spent more time in reading than watching TV. 1) 句中 while 是连词，意为“当时候” ，引导时间状语从句，从句中的谓语动词必须是延续性的e.g. I kept quiet while he was writing.He visited us while my parents were out .(2)如果从句中的谓语动词是瞬间动作可用 when 和 as 作为连词，也意为“当时候”引导时间状语从句，从句中的谓语动词可以是暂短动词也可以是持续动词e.g. I was doing my homework when the bell rang .It began to rain when (while)we were working in the fields.4.As I was reading the menu, the man who owned the restaurant came to our table .当我看菜单时，餐厅的主人来到我们桌旁1）包含定语从句，先行词是 the man ,关系代词 who 指人（2）由 as 引导的时间状语从句表示 “当时候”表示一段时间，此句中的 “as”也可换成 when 和 while 。

e.g. When /While /As she was a child ,she lived in Harbin.5.When he was talking to my parents ,I noticed something.当他和我父亲交谈时，我注意到一些事When 引导时间状语从句，表示主从句谓语动词的动作是同时发生的或者从句的动作发生在主句动作之前，可表示“一段”时间或“一点”时间，本句是主从句动作同时发生e.g．She was walking when I called her .6.But while we were eating ,the man seemed a little excited or nervous .但是当我们吃饭时，那个男人看起来似乎有点兴奋或紧张1）seem v. 看起来， seem + (to be )adj./n./prep. + to do sth.+adj.+to sb.e.g. She seemed angry to me .They seemed（to be）interested in the picture.They seemed at home .Your grandma seemed to know how to do it .(2)a little 修饰形容词和副词的原级和比较级e.g. a little hotter 7. I want to hang these English words on the restroom doors .我想要把这些英文单词挂在公共卫生间的门上。

Hang v.表示 “吊死绞死” 过去式和过去分词为 hanged表示“悬挂”过去式和过去分词为 hunge.g.The old man hanged himself at last .The map of the world is hung on the wall .Lesson 3 1.While I was running to school ,I dropped my books .当我跑向学校的时候，我掉了我的书drop v. 掉，掉下e.g. I dropped my watch and it broke .2.While he was paying ,the man asked him a question.当他在付钱，那个男人问了他一个问题While 引导的时间状语从句，强调主句的动作和从句的动作在某一时间内同时发生，意为“在…期间” ， “在…过程中” ， while 引导的时间状语从句只能表示一段时间（同延续性动词连用） e.g. While she was watching TV,she heard the bell rang .While I was reading ,my mom was cooking . Lesson4What would you like to drink ? 你想要喝点什么？Would you like 是委婉向对方提出要求，邀请或询问，意思是“你想要…吗？” ，这个表达方式比 Do you want …句型委婉有礼貌。
