      2) It feels like spring today. 今天有春天的感觉3) I feel like a fool. 我觉得我像个傻瓜4) I was there for two days but it felt like a week. 我在那待了两天但却觉得像过了一个星期6. insist 动词“坚持”(1) insist on + 名词1) I insist on an early reply. 我坚持要求早日回复2) The customer insists on an explanation. 客户坚持要一个解释2) insist on + doing 1) He insists on seeing me off at the airport. 他坚持要去机场为我送行2) They insisted on wearing a suit. 他们坚持要穿西装3) insist + that- 从句* insist 表示“坚决主张,, ”,that-从句中动词用(should) do:1) He insisted that she (should) come. 他坚持让她过来。

      2) She insisted that we (should) stay for dinner. 她坚持让我们留下吃饭insist表示“坚持一种事实” ,that-从句不用虚拟语气:1) Mike insisted that he was right. 迈克坚持说他是对的2) She insisted that her son had nothing to do with the crime. 她坚持认为,她的儿子与罪行无关7. allow 动词“允许、准许”to let someone do or have something, or let something happen: (1) allow somebody to do something: 1) His parents don’ t allow him to stay out late. 他的父母不允许他在外面待的太晚2) She only allows the children to watch TV on weekends. 她只允许她的孩子在周末看电视2) allow somebody something 1) We allow passengers one piece of luggage each. 我们允许每位乘客携带一件行李。

      2) I’ m on a diet, but I allow myself a thin slice of cake every morning. 我在节食,但是我允许自己每天早上吃一片蛋糕3) allow doing: 1) We do not allow eating in the classroom. 我们不允许在教室里吃东西2) They shouldn’ t allow parking here. 他们不应该允许在这里停车8. suggest动词suggest表“建议”, to tell somebody your ideas about what they should do ⋯(1)suggest + 名词1) He suggested a better idea for the work. 他对工作提出了更好的建议2) She suggested a walk after dinner. 她建议在饭后散步2) suggest + doing 1) Jenny suggested doing it in another way. 珍妮建议用另一种方法做这件事2) My friend suggested me getting a job in a bank. 我的朋友建议我去银行工作。

      3) suggest + that-从句,that-从句中动词用(should) do:1) The doctor suggested that he (should) stay in bed for another day or two. 医生建议他我卧床休息一两天2) Tom suggested that we (should) leave early for the airport. 汤姆建议我们早点出发去机场suggest表示“暗示” , to indicate, to make someone think that a particular thing is true: (1) suggest + 名词1) His pale face suggested bad health. 他苍白的脸色表面他身体不好2) Dark clouds in the west suggest rain. 西边的乌云表明快下雨了2) suggest + that-从句, that-从句不用虚拟语气:1) Are you suggesting I ’ m telling a lie? 你是在建议我撒谎吗?2) Her expression suggested that she was very upset. 她的表情表明她非常的不安。

      suggest → suggestion名词9. forbid 动词禁止to tell someone that they are not allowed to do something, or that something is not allowed: 过去式forbade 过去分词forbidden 现在分词forbidding (1) forbid somebody to do something 1) Father forbade them to mention the topic again. 父亲禁止他们再谈这个问题2) He was forbidden to leave the house, as a punishment. 作为惩罚,他被禁止离开屋子2) forbid somebody from doing something 1) Father forbade them from mentioning the topic again. 父亲禁止他们再谈这个话题2) He was forbidden from leaving the house, as a punishment. 作为惩罚,他被禁止离开屋子。

      forbid → forbidden 形容词the forbidden books 禁书the forbidden fruit 禁果the Forbidden。
