Presentation (37’)Pre-reading (Part2&Part6)(10’)1) 观看诺丁汉城市视频,激发兴趣,阅读文本,引出主人公罗宾汉Play the video of Nottingham to attract students’ attention. Ask them to read the passage on page 33 and answer: "What is Nottingham famous for?", "Who is Robin Hood?", and “When and where did he live?”2) 听录音,收集罗宾汉信息,铺垫故事Play the audio in part 6 to learn more about Robin Hood and ask ss to answer the following questions: “What did he do?” “Why did he hate the sheriff?” After ss finish their answers, teacher could show the listening script and explain some important words such as Sherwood forest, sheriff, and hate.While-reading (Part3)(22’)1) 学生略读故事,了解梗概并分层;教师板书出简要的“情节图”并下发学习单(见附表),随着故事的开展,各项信息将被逐一填入。
Ask ss to skim and paragraph the story. At the same time, teacher can draw an outline/ plot diagram for the story. Information can be filled in one by one along with the learning of the story.2) 根据图片设疑,引出故事发生的背景及原因Beginning ( Picture 1-4). Ask ss to discuss in group and answer 2 questions: “Where is Robin’s father?” “What dose Robin want to do?” Then teach some key words such as hide from, soldier, took away, etc.3) 设身处地,思考解决办法Middle (Picture 5-7) Ask ss “What will you do if your?”, then raise 2 questions: “What's Robin's idea?” and “What does he do?” In this part, teacher should not only teach new words like until, take care, but also give students some hints such as “dress up as somebody”.4) 运用记忆游戏,加深对人物对话的印象,分小组进行角色扮演Middle (Picture 8-12). This part is the climax of the story. Before listening, ask ss to find out “Where does Robin want to go?” and “How does he get in there?” Then, the class can play a memory game named “Who said what?”. After students are quite familiar with the lines, teacher can divide them into 4 groups to role play Robin, father, soldier 1 and soldier 2. 5) 鼓励学生大胆推测故事结局End (Picture 13-14). Teacher could encourage ss to predict the end by leading them to answer questions like “Does Robin save her father successfully? Why?” “What will he do in the future?” Then play the audio and check the answers. 6) 小组合作,完善“故事情节图”中的信息,上台展示复述故事,教师给予指导和点评Finish the plot diagram and retell the story. At this stage teacher could provide a word bank. Post-reading (5’)激发思考,德育渗透Encourage ss to think independently: “What do you think of Robin Hood?”, “How about the sheriff?”, and “Does Robin get success all by himself or with the help of others?” In the end, teacher summarize the answers and tell ss to fight against bad guys with wisdom and ask for help if necessary.Step 3. Homework (1’)培养学生运用互联网搜集信息的能力,提高学生将所学方法推广到课外的能力。
