Development of computer history,In the last middle century ,too many scientists devoted their life just want to invented a machine which can help people calculate complex data. Of course ,they get very highly achievement ,so today I just have several important symbolic progress to show.,The first generation of tube computer(1945-1956),In February 15,1946,marking the birth of the modern computer ENIAC is invented in the Philadelphia (费城). The ENIAC represents the history of the computer milepost(里程碑).It is developed by the United states government and the university of Pennsylvania, used 18000 vacuum tubes(真空管),70000 resistors(电阻器),5 million welding point(焊接点),and the power consumption about 160 kilowatts. The operation speed is about 5000 times a second .it is very quick at that age .,ENIAC,The second generation of transistor(晶体管) computer,The invention of the transistor in 1948 ,instead of the huge electron tubes to be used in electronic equipment. In 1956, transistor was used in computer led to the production of the second generation computer. The second generation computer has the advantages of small volume, high speed, low power consumption, stable function.,The first transistor.,The third generation of integrated circuits(集成电路IC)computer,In 1958 Texas(德州)engineer Jack Kilby invented the IC, made three electronic component (原件) into a tiny silicon(硅). It is a leap in the history of computer development. The computer becomes smaller, lower power consumption, faster. And made possible in the invention of personal computers.,Jack kilby,Wesley AClark and the LINC(1964)(the first personal computer in the world),The fourth generation of large scale integrated circuit computers(LSI) (1972 - present),LSI can accommodate hundreds components. In 1980s , ultra large scale integration (超大集成电路ULSI) can accommodate the hundreds of thousands of components, even increase the number to millions. It made computers size and prices lower but the function better. In 1981, IBM introduced the personal computer (PC) for home, office and school.,,The ULSI,The PC,,The smallest CMOS chip(芯片) in the world .
