第五章 美国《Chemical Abstracts》(化学文摘) (简称为CA）Key to the World's Chemical Literature! （美国《化学文摘》）一、概况CA是世界上著名的检索工具之 一，是检索化学化工文献的重要工具 它创刊于1907年，由美国化学学会 化学文摘社（ Chemical Abstracts Service ， 简称为CAS)（总部设在美 国俄亥俄州的哥伦布，Columbus, Ohio ）编辑出版二、CA的特点1、收录范围广泛①收录文献的学科范围广泛除了收录化学化工方面的文献之外，其内容 还涉及到农业、医学、生物学、冶金、环境科学 等领域据称CA所报道的文献覆盖了全世界化学化工 方面文献的98%②收录文献类型多它收录的文献类型可归类为6种：期刊论文（ 74%）、专利文献（16%）、技术报告（1%）、 学位论文（2%）、会议论文（6%）、图书（1% ）2、索引体系完备，检索途径多 3、报道速度快 4、文摘质量较高三、CA的出版形式CA的四种出版类型 • 印刷版(印刷型)：分文摘和索引两大部分，其中索 引有期索引、卷索引和累积索引。

CA的分类表见教材78～79页 CA的类目（CA类目名称的中英文对照）第一部分：生物化学部（Biochemistry Sections），1~20类第二部分：有机化学部（Organic Chemistry Sections），21~34类第三部分：高分子化学部（ Macromolecular Chemistry Sections）， 35~46类第四部分：应用化学与化学工程部（ Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Sections），47~64类第五部分：物理，无机与分析化学部（ Physical ，Inorganic ，and Analytical Chemistry Sections），65~80类从1971年第74卷起，CA分单、双周 出版，单周出1~34类，双周出35~80类； 1997年第126卷起，不分单、双周，每期 都出版1~80类２、文摘部分⑴文摘的编排 CA的文摘条目是按其分类目录中的 80个类目编排的 每一类目下的文摘条目按论文（来 源于期刊或科技报告等）、图书、专利 及参见条目四部分排列各部分之间用 四条短线（- - - -）隔开。
