Key release2. Lock3. Unlock4. Customer ConfigurationVolumetric Sensor• Located in front of the 2nd row interior lamp housing• Consists of a microcontroller, two acoustic transmitters and two acoustic receivers• Powered by a feed from the CJB. Battery Backed-Up Sounder (BBUS)• The BBUS is attached to the plenum in the engine compartment, next to the brake booster • In some markets, a tilt sensor is incorporated into the BBUS • Externally, the two types of BBUS look the same• The tilt sensor measures the longitudinal and lateral angle of the vehicle over a range of ±16° from the horizontal. Battery Backed-Up Sounder (BBUS)In the volumetric mode• BBUS stores the current angles in memory and monitors the tilt sensor readings. • If the vehicle attitude changes in either direction by more than the alarm limit, the BBUS activates the sounder.Status Indicator• Light Emitting Diode (LED) located in the instrument cluster, below the tachometer • Provides information about the status of the alarm and immobilization system• Controlled by the CJB using a hardwired connection with the instrument cluster• 4 variations of flash, including off.Anti-theft Alarm System Status IndicationsStatusDescriptionAlarm Indicator0 - DisarmedWhen system disarmed. Also first 10 seconds after being armed with a panel open.Off.1 - ArmedEntered 10 seconds after arming.10 milliseconds flash every 2 seconds.2 - Perimeter ArmingAll panels closed. Indication delayed for 2.5 seconds to allow time to process double locking commands. Two 10 milliseconds flashes every 2 seconds, for 10 seconds.3 - Volumetric ArmingAll panels closed and volumetric sensor armed. Indication delayed for 2.5 seconds to allow time to process double locking commands.Three 10 milliseconds flashes every 2 seconds, for 10 seconds.Nuisance AlarmsThe CJB can selectively disarm parts of the anti-theft alarm system, to prevent nuisance alarms being triggered, as follows:• During park heating and cooling CJB will disarm volumetric sensing• Battery voltage decreases to less than 9 volts the CJB will disarm the volumetric sensor and the tilt sensor• If the vehicle battery voltage decreases from 9.5 to 9 volts in more than 30 minutes, the CJB will disarm the BBUS• System supports Auto-relock after I minute.Alarm Trigger SourcesTrigger No.Description0No trigger stored1Driver door ajar switch2Front passenger door ajar switch3Rear LH door ajar switch 4Rear RH door ajar switch5Tailgate ajar switch6Hood ajar switch 7Ignition switch8External key lock turned to unlock9Tilt sensor10Volumetric sensorThe CJB stores the last ten alarm triggers in a trigger log, which can be accessed over the medium speed CAN bus using T4. Alarm System OperationArming• Perimetric mode, when the vehicle is either locked or superlocked from the remote handset or the door key lock (Emergency unlocking)• Volumetric mode, when the vehicle is superlocked with the remote handset. If the tilt sensor is incorporated, the vehicle attitude is monitored.1. Key release2. Lock3. Unlock4. Customer ConfigurationAlarm System OperationArming• Volumetric mode, disables with 2 presses of the lock button or one turn of the door key lock. 1. Key release2. Lock3. Unlock4. Customer ConfigurationAlarm System OperationDisarming• With the unlock button or the door key lock (Emergency unlocking)• After Emergency unlocking the key needs to be inserted into the ignition switch within 12sec’s to disable the alarm.Alarm System OperationMislock• Sounder from the vehicle’s horns if one or more panel are left opened• Driver’s door open>No alarm operation• All other panel open>Perimetric protection only.Alarm System OperationSingle Point Entry• Programmed with the key>Press & Hold Unlock/Lock button for 3 sec’s>Horn sound & indicator illuminate to confirm change to SPE Drive away locking• @ 8km/h.Handset ProgrammingConfiguration button• Panic alarm• (NAS) vehicles, after 160 seconds the panic alarm times out and the anti-theft alarm system returns to the previous operating state.Handset ProgrammingConfiguration button• Panic alarm• Headlamp courtesy delay>Programmable 40-240 sec’s.Handset ProgrammingConfiguration button• Panic alarm• Headlamp courtesy delay• Air Suspension Control.ImmobilisationComponents• Transponder• Transponder coil• CJB• ECM.Transponder• Integral part of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) with in the key• Powered by a rechargeable battery• The coil is also used to generate the current required to recharge the battery• 27 transponders can be programmed to the vehicle system• NB. Key 28 requires a new CJB.TransponderThe transponder has a 256 byte Electronic Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM), which is programmed with vehicle identifica。
