The topic of this unit is interesting stories from ancient Greece and ancient China. The passage consists of 7 paragraphs. Paragraphs 1 to 2 are the beginning of the story; Paragraphs 3 to 4 tell that the Trojans pulled the horse into the city and celebrated in the main square; Paragraphs 5 to 6 tell about the Greek soldiers climbing out of the wooden horse and opened the gates; the last paragraph states the ending that the Greeks captured the city of Troy. This lesson is a reading lesson, the first period of the Unit. After learning this passage, student should understand the story through some reading strategies as well as master the key words and phrases by deducing the meaning from the context. Analysis of the studentsThe students in my class are at medium level, who are active and motivated. They have great interest in learning some English stories.
