Children left all the litter behind and mom asked them to pick up the litter. Floppy got hurt by a broken glass. On the way home, they stopped for food and Chip threw the litter on the ground. At night, chip was taken to a magic adventure. In the adventure, litter queen asked him to spread litter everywhere, but chip didn’t want to. After the adventure, Chip did a litter project and won a competition for his story called “The Litter Queen”.2. read the story dramaticallyl Aims on the emotionSs will be able to how to protect the environment and don’t litter.l Teaching method1.       教师播放视频,与学生互动,让学生讨论乱扔垃圾带来的坏处:What harm does littering do to our life? What will you do if you see someone littering?之后,自然过渡到讲故事环节:The children went for a picnic. Did they litter? Did they take their trash back? What adventure did the children have? Let’s learn the story The Litter Queen.2. 看图讲故事(Storytelling):了解故事背景 教师利用课件选取播放故事前13幅图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘色地讲故事,引导学生观察图片,了解故事背景Picture 1) Mum and Dad took the children for a picnic in the country. They went to a place called White Horse Hill.There wasn’t a cloud in the sky. The weather was perfect.(Picture 2) They found a good place at the bottom of the hill.Dad spread out a rug and everyone sat down.Mum took out lots of delicious food.Everyone enjoyed the food and the view. They can see for miles.(Picture 3) After the picnic, the children wanted to race to the top of the hill.But Mum called them back. (Picture 4) “Look at all the litter you’ve left behind. Pick them up and put it in a bag. We’ll take it back to the car, or the place would look terrible with the litter.”(Picture 5) It took them quite a long time to get to the top. They were tired, so they sat down for a rest. They could see for miles and miles. The house and the cars looked small.They saw a strange-looking aircraft flew past. It was a microlight.Biff would love to fly in one, but Chip thought it didn’t look safe.(Picture 6) They walked through a wood. Suddenly Floppy yelped.His paw was bleeding and he started to limp.(Picture 7) Mum looked at Floppy’s paw. Wilf found a broken bottle.“He must have cut it on this,” said Wilf.Mum was angry that someone had left the broken bottle lying about.(Picture 8) The children played cricket before they went home. Poor Floppy couldn’t join in because his paw was too sore.(Picture 9) At last, it was time to go home. Dad said the fresh air had made him hungry and they stopped for something to eat. The children loved the idea.(Picture 10) Everyone had chicken and chips. They enjoyed the food.When they finished, Chip threw the litter on the ground, because the bin was full.He thought it wouldn’t matter but Biff did not agree. (Picture 11) The children were tired after the picnic. Chip was glad to get into bed. Suddenly the key began to glow. (Picture 12) The magic whisked Chip through the door of the litter house. He knew he was not going to enjoy this adventure. “I wish Biff was here,” he thought. (Picture 13) The magic took Chip to the Litter Queen’s palace. What would happen?3. 朗读故事(Reading Dramatically):学会绘声绘色地朗读故事,朗读与理解相结合 承接讲故事环节,引导学生带着问题去朗读,帮助学生理解故事,抓住故事主要情节。

      1)学生分角色朗读图片13-14,然后回答以下问题:Where did the magic take Chip? What did Chip see? How did he feel?What was the order?(2)请学生集体朗读图片15-18,然后回答以下问题:Where did the Litter Queen take Chip?What was the next order? How did Chip feel?What happened when Chip was on the microlight?(3)请学生分组朗读图片19-23,然后回答以下问题:What happened at home? What did Chip do at school the next day? What did he get?Why did Chip do this? 六年级五班 。
