它表现出的莫言对“大踏步撤退”时期的语言的自觉运用与实践，对叙事资源和传统小说语言资源的回归，给中国当代小说创作以有益的启示然而对于《檀香刑》的解读， 人们较多探讨的是莫言对民间文化的借鉴以及小说中体现的生命意识和人性异化的现代主题，而对其文学接受方面，则鲜有人论及本文就以《檀香刑》的接受情况为切入点，从专家接受、普通读者接受和海外接受三方面展开论述，进而探讨文学接受的某些规律 在第六届茅盾文学奖﹙以下简称茅奖﹚评奖中， 《檀香刑》最后与该奖项失之交臂评论界的专家们对 《檀香刑》 的态度褒贬不一 褒扬者认为莫言作品对丑恶人性的彰显、民间性的阐释、写作策略的运用、叙事形态的奇幻等描写具有很强的审美性茅奖的一些评委和青年作家们纷纷对《檀香刑》的落选表示遗憾，他们认为《檀香刑》没有获奖不仅是茅奖的遗憾，也是作品的遗憾而持批判态度的专家们则全力批判了作品中的酷刑、暴力描写，他们把《檀香刑》批判得一无是处究其原因，一是在于专家们阅读期待视野的转变，二是作家刻意追求作品的独特性从而导致人们的态度不一 普通读者对《檀香刑》的接受可以从作品的出版发行情况看出来笔者在对《檀香刑》的出版发行情况进行统计整理时发现， 《檀香刑》在普通读者群中是相当受欢迎的。

普通读者越来越倾向于选择读起来能给人带来强烈感官刺激的作品，这是《檀香刑》能被广大读者接受的最主要原因之一暴力、酷刑、死亡这些要素存在于《檀香刑》的每一章节，恰恰迎合了普通读者的审美趣味，读者接受作品也成为理所当然另外由于大众媒介的传播效应，也在很大程度上促进了作品的接受 海外接受情况是研究《檀香刑》接受的一个重要方面从国际范围来看， 《檀香刑》被译成多种文字出版，并且获得多个国际文学奖项，这就客观地显示出作品在海外的接受程度以《檀香刑》在越南为例来分析作品在海外的接受具有一定的代表性，各个国家由于政治、经济、文化间的不均衡性导致《檀香刑》在海外的接受情况不同，但总体上来说， 《檀香刑》在海外还是很受欢迎的历史文化传统的相似以及《檀香刑》本身的艺术品质是作品在越南被读者接受的主要原因 摘 要 II不同时期，专家、普通读者及海外对一部作品的接受会随着时代的变化而变化，他们从自己和时代的需要出发来接受《檀香刑》 、理解《檀香刑》 ，这些都丰富了对莫言作品的研究 研究接受现象， 有助于我们更好地理解一部作品， 有很深的文学意义和价值 关键词 莫言 檀香刑 专家 普通读者 海外 原因Abstract IIIAbstract “Sandalwood penalty” as one of MoYan’s works which has a unique style; it takes a unique position in nowadays China novels. It shows Mo Yan’s attitude towards “retreat in big strides” period about language using and practicing and return of the traditional narrative and language resources, it gives some useful writing inspiration for the development of Chinese novels. But when it comes to “sandalwood penalty“ ’s interpretation ,people are more likely to discuss its’ reference of folk culture ﹑life consciousness in the book and the alienation of human nature .For its acceptance, few people will talk about it. This article will make “Sandalwood Penalty”’s acceptance as an entry point and discuss it from experts﹑common readers and overseas’ acceptance ,then discuss some literature acceptance’s regular pattern. In the sixth “Mao Dun Awards”, Sandalwood Penalty missed it and experts have different attitudes toward the work. The supporters thought that MoYan’s work’s highlight the ugliness of human nature﹑interpretation of the civil resistance﹑the use of writing strategies and narrative form fantasy depiction has a strong aesthetic. They thought that this work missed the award is not only MaoDun award’s regret but also the work’s regret. But opponent thought that the work is full of torture and violence and it is nothing. Investigate its reason, one is experts’ reading expectation is changed, anther is that the author seeks the unique nature and its leads to people’s different attitudes. Ordinary readers’ acceptance toward the work should be found from its’ publish condition. The author compiles it and found that Sandalwood Penalty is popular with ordinary readers. Ordinary readers are more and more choose works which will give them strong sensory stimulation, this is one the most important reasons why the work is accepted by so many readers. Violence﹑torture and death are full of the work ,its just meet the ordinary readers’ aesthetic tastes. Of course, the readers will accept the work. In addition, the mass media promotes the work’s acceptance. Acceptance overseas is an important aspect. The work was translated into many languages and won several international literary awards from the international point of view which Abstract IVobjectively shows the acceptance of works overseas. The author chooses Sandalwood Penalty in Vietnam as an example has representative ness. Each country has its own politics﹑economy and culture and they lead different conditions among different countries. But on the whole, the work is very popular overseas. The historical and cultural traditions’ similarity and the work’s artistic quality are the reasons why the work is accepted in Vietnam. Experts﹑ordinary readers and overseas’ acceptance will change with the times, they accept and understand the work from their own needs, those all enrich the study to MoYan’s works. Research the acceptance will help us to understand a work better, and it has a deep literary meaning and value.
