Managing information system is a new subject. Enterprise needs existence and development, so enterprise activities should be organized efficiently and organically, which means tightening up the enterprise management and strengthening effective management of any resource (staff, finance, property, etc.) internal the enterprise, and also establishing a management information system fitting in with its own characteristics.As a contemporary college students, there should be a long-term vision and the ability to act according to circumstances, should take the time in front of the community abreast of the latest developments of-the-art science and technology in order to adjust the structure of their knowledge structure and ability to adapt to social development. The new century has extensive knowledge of modern science; need to be able to independently solve the problem, the completion of the work of the people; to their own needs, often challenge the limits of their own people; the need for innovation. We have been working hard to learn to make a move with the time. This article introduces the detailed process of exploring a management information system under the environment of visual FoxPro, utilizing “Top-Bottom” overall plan and a strategy according to “Bottom-Top” application and exploitation. That is to establish a set of effective scheme for student management by computer, through analyzing disadvantages of student management by human resources. This article emphasizes on three sections. The system analysis section of student management information includes feasible analysis, management function analysis. The system design section mainly focuses on system function design and data base design and data number design. 面对庞大的信息量需要有学生管理系统来提高学生管理工作的效率通过这样的系统可以做到信息的规范管理、科学统计和快速查询、修改、增加、删除等，从而减少管理方面的工作量本系统主要用于学校学生信息管理，总体任务是实现学生信息关系的系统化、规范化和自动化，其主要任务是用计算机对学生各种信息进行日常管理，如查询、修改 、增加、删除，另外还考虑到学生选课，针对这些要求设计了学生信息管理系统； 本系统主要包括学生信息查询、教务信息维护和学生选课三部分其功能主要有：1.有关学籍等信息的输入，包括输入学生基本信息、所在班级、所学课程和成绩等2.学生信息的查询，包括查询学生基本信息、所在班级、已学课程和成绩等3.学生信息的修改，包括学生学号姓名、性别、年龄系别、班级联、系方式、家庭住址和备注等4.班级管理信息的输入，包括输入班级设置、班级信息等5.班级管理信息的查询，包括查询系别设置、班级信息等6.班级管理信息的修改，包括修改班级设置、班级信息等7.学生课程的修改，包括修改课程设置、课程信息等学生信息管理系统是典型的信息管理系统 (MIS)，其开发主要包括后台数据库的建立和维护以及前端应用程序的开发两个方面对于前者要求建立起数据一致性和完整性强、数据安全性好的库。

而对于后者则要求应用程序功能完备，易使用等特点经过分析，我们使用MICROSOFT公司的VISUAL BASIC开发工具，利用其提供的各种面向对象的开发工具，尤其是数据窗口这一能方便而简洁操纵数据库的智能化对象，首先在短时间内建立系统应用原型，然后，对初始原型系统进行需求迭代，不断修正和改进，直到形成用户满意的可行系统1.1.1 系统需求通过调查,要求系统需要有以下功能: 1.由于操作人员的计算机知识普遍较差,要求有良好的人机界面; 2.由于该系统的使用对象多,要求有较好的权限管理; 3.数据计算自动完成，尽量减少人工干预;4.方便的数据查询，支持多条件查询;5.在相应的权限下，删除数据方便简单，数据稳定性好；6.原始数据修改简单方便,支持多条件修改1.1.2可行性分析由于本系统管理的对象单一,都是在校学生，且每个数据内容具有较强的关联性，涉及的计算过程不是很复杂因此，比较适合于采用数据库管理且学校用于学生管理的微机都是PII。
