3页广东人对西方菜引入的认可分析The Acceptance of the Chinese to the Introduction of Western Foods in Shandong ProvinceABSTRACTThis dissertation has explored the acceptance of the Chinese to the introduction of western foods in Shandong Province.Diet is fundamental to survival, and China and Britain are no exceptions. But on how to "Eat”,there is a big difference between them, they have two different cultural styles of dietary habits with two different beliefs which form an important cultural marker. Diet reflects the cultured perspectives of a nation, and, in China, also reveals a spiritual element. Because of geographical features, the climatic environment, customs and habits, and other factors, food products will appear in different forms with respect to materials, tastes and cooking methods and eating habits. It was precisely because of these differences that different dietary habits developed.The differences between Chinese and Western cultures created dietary cultural differences between them, and these differences come from the different ways of thinking and different philosophies of life. This dissertation aimed at: (1) To explore the differences between Chinese and Western dietary habits, such as diet concepts, food, eating methods, banqueting habits and table etiquette. (2) To analyze the reasons for different dietary habit—from the perspective of cultural differences, product adoption, and communication theory.
