Product description ： TYPE C 80T automatic spiders are suitable for the tubing range from 2-3/8” to 5” (60.33mm-127mm). The gate opening is 6” (152mm). The bowl opening is 6 5/8”(168mm) It is designed for pneumatic or manually operating. Section 2 – operation Preparation In order to operate the tubing spider correctly, the following step points should be prepared. 1. Choice suitable slip insert according to gripping pipe diameter and install correctly. 2. Check the outlet and inlet of cylinder make sure no any obstacles and connect hose to air resource. 3. Check the air pressure range, normally at 0.8 – 1.2 Mpa 4. The cylinder’s working pressure at 0.6 – 0.8 Mpa 5. Be sure to keep air source closing when lifting the slip with manual. 4 53. Section 3 –Installation The TYPE C 80T AUTOMATIC SPIDER is easily installed on the rig floor. It can be used through pneumatic control panel. The TYPE C 80T AUTOMATIC SPIDER has lifting eye for pick up to rig floor. Operation 1. Pull out of gate pins and gate from spider body then install the spider body on correct position 2. Install gate pins and gate. 3. Supply air to tubing spider cylinder, slip body automatically lifted and opened. 4. The tubing can be run down to hole. 5. Venting air through control panel, the slip will grip tubing automatically. Caution 1. Be sure to keep hands and fingers away and out of all other areas when handling tubing spider. Always make sure slip insert size match tubing diameter. 2. Always keep the safety latch in correct position 64. Section4–Maintenance Inspection To insure optimum performance from the tubing spider the following checks should be made once a week. 1. Check inserts for even wear. 2. Check for weak spring, cotter and pin on the slip and replace as necessary. 3. Check air circuit for operation normally, no any leakage of air. 4. If cracks are found during inspection, replace it. Daily: 1. Springs, inserts, pins, screws and nuts 2. Check the link assembly and left/right hand, keep lubricating well. 75.
