-He said to us, “are these books yours?” -He asked us whether/if those books were ours. -“They live here, don’t they?” asked the woman. -The woman asked whether/if they lived there. 2)直接引语为选择疑问句时，用whether…or…引导 -He asked, “Are you going away today or tomorrow, Tom?” -He asked Tom whether he was going away that day or next day. 3)直接引语为同特殊疑问句时，用相应的疑问代词或疑问副词引导 -He asked, “ who is he?” -He asked (me) who he was. 4)直接引语为祈使句，常采用此结构“动词+宾语+不定式”，动词常用ask, tell, order, advise等 --The inspector then said to the old lady, “try to check what is missing by tomorrow and don’t stay alone in the flat for a few nights.” 。
