I usually go home by train.2.能力目标能够熟练运用交通方式的表达二、教学过程Step 1 Revision1  Check the dialogues students made based on the instructions in SB Page 65, Part 4.2  Revise personal details: Whats your name? Where are you from? How old are you? Where is your home? etc.Step 2 Presentation1  Revise transportation terms, e.g. by bus/bike/on foot, etc.2  Tell the students that they are going on holiday. In pairs, have them talk about where they want to go, and how they want to get there. Help the students to say things like, I want to go to Lhasa. Lets go by bus / by air, etc.Step 3 Read and actSB Page 66, Part 1, Speech Cassette Lesson 117. Teach when (conj.), rain and health. Books closed! Play the tape. Now ask When does David take the bus? (When it rains.) Books open! Play the tape again, students listen and repeat. In pairs, have students practise the dialogue.Step 4 Read and make up dialoguesSB Page 66, Part 2, Speech Cassette Lesson 117. Teach the new vocabulary. Books closed! Ask Why does the speaker like to travel by train? Play the tape and let the students listen for the answer (Because it is cheap and safe; he can see a lot, too.) Books open! Choose two students to read the dialogue to the class. In pairs, have the students practise the dialogue. Now have them make up their own dialogue using some of the suggestions in the box. Have several pairs volunteer to read their dialogues for the class.Step 5 PracticeStudents make up dialogues in pairs, using the phrases provided in the box in SB Page 66, Part 2. Encourage your students to create situations, which may not necessarily be true to reality, e.g. My home is in Sydney, Australia.Step 6 WorkbookSB Page 149, Wb Lesson 117, Exx. 1 and 2. In addition to the questions in Ex. 1, you may encourage students to think up more interesting questions, such as, Do you think you are too busy? Do you want to have more time for rest or games? Ex. 2 is an interview. Get the students to work in pairs. They should try to ask as many questions as they can. Collect all the questions and write them down. Put all the questions on display. This is a good way to help revise what has been taught so far.HomeworkReview the new vocabulary for Lesson 117.Lesson118一、教学目标1.知识目标(1)复习动词have的用法。

How many do you want? Repeat with uncountables and countables. Revise Lesson 114, Step 7 in the TB.Step 2 PresentationErase meat on the Bb. Teach Can I have some meat? Answer Sorry, you cant have any meat. There isnt any! Practise in two groups. Erase the other uncountables, one by one. Then practise randomly.Step 3 Read and actSB Page 67, Part 1, Speech Cassette Lesson 118. Books closed! Ask What do they sell in the shop? Play the tape. Check the answer (rice, bread, milk, cakes, tea and so on). Have students guess the meaning of and so on. Books open! Play the tape again, students listen and repeat. In pairs, students practise reading the dialogue aloud.Step 4 PresentationAsk a student How much is your English book? Help the student to answer My English book is… yuan … fen / cents. Ask several other students How much is your pen/paper/eraser? etc.Step 5 Ask and answerSB Page 67, Part 2. Teach price. In small groups have the students ask each other about some of their things. Then ask one person about the items of the students in their group, e.g. ask Whats the price of… ? Or How much is …? Help the student to answer Her/His book is … yuan.Step 6 Solve the word puzzleHave the students work in pairs to solve the puzzle. Check answers. (1 fish; 2 chicken; 3 tomato; 4 potato; 5 apple; 6 dumpling; 7 onion; 8 vegetable; 9 milk; 10 fruit; 11 drinks; 12 tea.Step 7 WorkbookSB Page 150, Wb Lesson 118, Exx. 1 and 2. The dialogue in Ex. 1 covers several topic areas, e.g. borrowing things, shopping, and telling the time. It is good for revision.
