Confidential. DCUE AB.doc 1 General The Drive Control, integrated in the DICO, described hereafter, determines the required torque for the drive motors according the drivers request. The basic input functions for this determination are the throttle and brake pedal values, the DNR switch, the motor speed and various input commands for a flexible and comfortable drive control behavior. The input vari- ables regarding the driver commands are provided either on the SAE-CAN bus or by digital and analog inputs. The Drive Control output is the requested power of the drive motors and is the basic input for the Hybrid Control Software, determine the power distribution between the power source and the energy storage. The individual drive motor control, integrated in the respective inverter controllers, generates feedback values as e.g. motor speed and motor power to the Drive Control unit on the DCAN bus. Confidential. DCUE AB.doc 1.1 Start-Up of the Drive System The system control is activated via DICO terminals X1/16 (D+) and inverter terminals X1/19 (ignition). The control board integrated in the inverter and the DICO are using these inputs as control contact of its current supply for the DICO via X1/14, 28, 42, 30 and for the inverter via X1/8 (terminal 30, permanent 24 V power supply). The inverter input signal External Enable (X1/25) is used as an external safety shutdown signal, i.e. the pulses of the inverter integrated IGBT´s are inhibited while the power supply voltages are still available. The system initialization starts when ignition is on. In this phase of initialization, the hardware tests are carried out. The control circuit board supplies itself via an internal control signal from terminal 30 when initialization is carried out successfully.
