Level S-3)4. Inspection Procedure for Garment: 4.1 Review Of The Technical File: Inspectors should review the necessary documents in brief and tools need for inspection. If there is any question, please consult the Section Heads before leaving the office. The necessary documents are as following:- Purchase order/invoice- Packing list- L/C copy- Product specifications ( e.g. size specifications, sketches, etc.)- Defect classification- Instructions from department- Blank inspection report- Inspection tools (e.g. measuring tape, thickness gauge, pull gauge, table clamp, defect stickers, sketches, etc.)- Others 4.2 Inspection Standard and Sampling: 4.2.1 For Products in Units – garments: Sampling plan: ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2003 Level: DUPRO - Level I based on the finished quantity (around 30% of the goods are finished and ready for inspection) FRI - Level II based on the total order quantity 100% of the goods are finished and at least 80% of the goods are packed) AQL: Critical defects: Not allowed Major defects : 2.5 Minor defects : 4.0 N.B.: The above is an normal standard applied by SGS unless instructed by the client for special requirement. 4.3 Carton Selection: 4.3.1 Obtain a packing list from the supplier / factory. 4.3.2 To estimate the number of cartons / quantity presented for inspection.4.3.3 Select cartons randomly for complete style, colour and size range.
