扬州大学硕士学位论文自谦策略跨文化对比研究姓名：李清花申请学位级别：硕士专业：英语语言文学指导教师：方文礼20080501Yang出ouUmVersity：MAThesis三、因为不同文化背景的人对礼貌的认识存在着差异性，所以会导致使用不同的策略中国文化背景下的自谦策略与Brown＆Levinson提出的积极面子和消极面子没有直接联系对中国人来说，自谦策略的使用不仅表达基于社会地位的谦卑与尊敬，而且也是一种不考虑社会身份的和谐融洽人际关系的策略四、本研究收集到的数据证实了Leech的假设：在礼貌原则的六准则中，谦虚准则并不常被遵循；与西方文化相比，东方文化更重视谦虚准则但是对Leech的另一假设，即谦虚准则中的次准则b(尽量多贬低自己)没有次准则a(尽量少赞扬自己)重要，本研究并没有得到有力的证据相反，本研究的结果却证实了顾日国教授的结论：自谦策略(即Leech谦虚准则中的次准则b)在一定程度上仍然是中国礼貌的主要表达方式五、导致中美两国学生使用自谦策略异同有以下文化因素：第一，中国人重视集体主义，而美国人崇尚个人主义；第二，中国家庭教育强调谦虚内敛品质，而美国家庭教育侧重独立竞争意识；第三，因对谦虚内涵的不同理解导致中美两国人对自谦策略的使用及态度有所差异。
