《澳大利亚社会与文化》 教学大纲一、课程基本信息课程代码：课程名称：澳大利亚社会与文化英文名称：Australian Society and Culture课程类别：通识课 学 时：32学　　分：2适用对象: 金融学等中外联合培养、人才培养实验班 考核方式：考试先修课程：商务英语阅读II，商务英语写作II二、课程简介《澳大利亚社会与文化》专门针对广东财经大学中外人才培养实验班二年级学生开设的大学英语系列改革课程之一该课程是一门桥梁课程，它比较全面地从澳大利亚土著人历史、澳大利亚国家的建立、该国的地理、政治、经济、文化、文学、传媒、电影工业以及体育等领域来介绍这个由多元文化建构起来的国家澳大利亚位于亚洲--太平洋地区，它的地理位置决定了它在未来世界政治、经济和外交等方面的重要作用因此，认识澳大利亚这样一个国家，是构建21世纪青年学生跨学科知识框架中不可缺少的一部分深层次地了解澳大利亚的文化、政治和经济，可以帮助学生学习和分享澳大利亚的多元文化成果，为日后从事跨学科研究积累知识和经验同时，在教学过程中融入思想政治教育，引导学生批判地学习西方文化，增强学生的民族文化认同感和自信心，不仅学会用英语看世界，更学会用英语讲好中国故事。

三、课程性质与教学目的本课程的目的是使学生全面了解澳大利亚基本情况及其文化艺术的发展，对澳大利亚社会的思想意识的根源与形成有进一步的认识，并在不断扩展自身人文知识，为学好英语扫除缺乏背景知识的障碍，提高文化素养，培养跨文化交际的意识和能力通过教学，使学生了解澳大利亚的国家地理、人文特征、宗教、社会、教育与文艺等基本情况，包括社会各层面的发展和特征表现以及传统的风俗习惯等等 理解澳大利亚社会的思想意识的根源与形成；理解澳大利亚历史发展对其现今社会、宗教与政治制度的影响，以及澳大利亚社会、文化结构多元化的历史渊源掌握澳大利亚经济、文化和社会等方面的知识要点，以及用于分析国家社会现象的历史辨证方法 此外还要求学生通过听讲、阅读、讨论等方式提高英语语言应用能力同时，课程注重培养学生良好的跨文化意识和世界意识，具备良好的文化包容性和批判性，增强民族文化自信，教育学生爱党爱国，热爱中国文化四、教学内容及要求 Introduction（一）目的与要求At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:1. capture the profile about Australia2. capture the purpose of this course （二）教学内容1． 主要内容 1) Profile of Australia 2) Purpose of this course 3) General introduction2． 基本概念和知识点1) ProfileA.
