还有一个不同的是池岸周围有双排石础，这些双孔、双座、双排应该是有并蒂莲的寓意，正应了唐玄宗和杨贵妃“在天愿作比翼鸟，在地愿为连理枝”的誓言The star pool was built in 644 A.D. It was called Imperial pool御汤 in the beginning, it’s also the largest Imperial pool in our country .It was specially constructed for emperor Tang Taizong.  The south of the pool is steep while the north of the pool is relatively level (flat), which was inferred as the fact that this kind of structure is just an imitation of mountains and rivers in natural world. Besides, there were no coverings or shelters above or around the pool. In that case, bathing in the pool at night, the emperor could see the star in the sky. So, the hot pool was called the star pool.  There is another saying, this kind of structure just reflects the relation and balance between imperial power and god as well as nature. Emperor Tang Taizong hoped god and nature to bless and protect his imperial court and his ruling. So ,at last, he changed the name of the wain北斗七星-like pool to the star pool.  What’s more, the location of the Star Pool is perfect, because it is closest to Li hot spring. The headwaters of the hot spring can naturally afflux( flow) into the star pool. Under this circumstance, people can have a surfing bath, which is really very popular in modern times. The Shang Shi Pool is relatively small and looks very common. Obviously, the position of the bathers in this pool was lower. It is said that the pool was designed for those ministers who always accompanied the emperor.  Seeing from the whole structure, we find that there were steps respectively to the pool in the eastern, southern and northern sides; and it didn’t have any fixed or special sitting position, which implies that although it is not quite large, there were many people bathing in the pool in the past, and the frequency of utilization( use) was high and the position of the bathers was complicated.  Besides, we find that it has a special stone partition石隔墙 and some small pittings百坑 . It was inferred that the pittings were used for foot massage, and the stone partition was used to distinguish different people from different positions. The bathers from higher position were in the higher place while the people lower position in lower place to bath.  The Crown Prince Pool, just as its name implies, was the pool for the crown princes. In history, there were 10 princes once bathing in the pool altogether, among which only 4 princes became emperor.  The Crown Prince Pool used the drainage pipeline of the Star Pool to drain off and drain into water, which shows the Superior and inferior relationship between emperor and crown prince. In consideration of the serious damage of this pool, the Crown Prince Pool was just shown in an outdoor form. There were 3 sources of hot spring. And the quantity of flow reaches up to 110 tons per hour; and the water temperature is about 43 degree Celsius all the year round. The spring water contains lots of minerals, which makes it suitable for bathing and is helpful for curing some diseases. 。
