Abstract Based on the actual needs of the information manangent of the University Logistics Catering, this thesis establishes a relatively perfect management information system.This system can change the manual handling of the related data before, including warehousing, outbounding, transfering, and material management, it can improve the efficiency of the catering service management, ensure the accurate and integrity of the data, to provide better services for teachers and students. The author analyses some problems of the day-to-day management in the University Logistics Catering based on the Requirement Analysis of University Logistics Catering (ULC). In PowerBuilder environment, operating in client/server mode and using PowerScript language, design and implement a high-performance management information system (MIS) in ULC is designed and implemented by utilizing the object-oriented and the information management technologies. The whole system is divided into some functional modularity including User Login, Purchasing Management, Inventory Management, and Permissions Management. It can accomplish the automatic information management of the internal purchase, storage, and Users Permissions in ULC. This system has being used in a University Catering Service Company. The running results of the system show it can meet the need of the management of the enterprises with effectiveness, safety and maintainability.
