8页Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?Section A (1a-2c) 教学设计长春高新第二实验学校 王慧慧一、教材分析:本单元以“do you want to watch a game show?”为话题展开教学活动,首先让学生学会各种电视节目的英文表达,再让学生学会怎样用英语表达对不同电视节目以及事物的厌恶通过用学生们熟悉的电视节目提高学生们学习兴趣,在通过简单的口语练习,使学生积极参与,合作,从而培养学生的综合语言运用能力 教材在本单元开篇就是本课时,它安排了关于部分电视节目类型的单词,以及简单的表述厌恶的句子,为以后能正确表达自己的情感作出了准备二、教学目标:1.知识与技能目标:能掌握部分电视节目的名称:talent show, sports show, talk show, game show, sitcom, news, soap opera等等能掌握表达喜好程度的句型: What do you think of…? I love it. I like it. I don’t mind it. I don’t like it. I can’t stand it.2.过程与方法目标:task-based language teaching,communicative language teaching, multi-media teaching3.情感态度价值观目标:培养学生逻辑表达能力,激发学生的积极思维,通过学习学生们会懂得自己对各种节目的喜好,促使学生学会选择有教育意义的节目进行观看。
三、教学重难点:教学重点:掌握一些表示电视节目类型的词汇:talent show, sports show, talk show, game show, sitcom, news, soap opera等等教学难点:掌握核心句型: What do you think of …? I love it. I like it. I don’t mind it. I don’t like it. I can’t stand it.四、教学用具:PPT课件,图片,多媒体,小视频等五、教学过程:Step1. Lead-in导入语:In our daily life, all kinds of TV shows play an important role .Some people spend their spare time on TV. Some people relax by watching TV shows. Some other people learn from TV shows. Do you know how to express the names of different TV shows? Do you know how to express your likes and dislikes? With the questions, let’s study Unit5 Do you want to watch a game show?T:First, look at the two pictures. Do you remember the TV shows? S: Yes, they’re talent shows.T: What other TV shows do you know? Let ’s have a brainstorming.然后出示一些电视节目类型的图片并告知学生这些节目的英语表达。
设计意图:让学生观看上一单元学过的节目图片,很容易说出talent shows,既是对上一单元的回顾也引出了本单元的话题,再让学生以头脑风暴的方式尽情说出自己了解的电视节目类型,激发学习兴趣,为接下来的新知学习做好铺垫Step2. Vocabulary Learning1. Show some pictures and short videos to teach the names of the TV shows.2. Write the new words on the blackboard.3. Ask Ss to read the new words.设计意图:运用图片激发兴趣,同时让学生很直观地了解电视节目的中英文名称,感受中西文化的差异有些节目以图片展现不能让学生很好的理解,难懂的如sitcom,soap opera, game show等以视频呈现更直观更形象,同时也可以加深学生对节目名称的记忆Step3. Vocabulary Consolidation and Expansion播放小视频让学生说出看到的电视节目类型的名称,从而巩固易混淆词汇,同时扩展新词汇Vocabulary consolidation:sitcom and soap operaVocabulary expansion: fashion show, weather report, romance moviedisaster film/tragedy ,science fiction movie, documentary设计意图:词汇巩固主要选择了两个学生容易记混的sitcom和soap opera,扩展词汇选择了时装表演,天气预报,科幻电影,爱情片,纪录片和灾难片等比较贴近学生生活的四种电视节目类型,以小视频的形式形象直观的呈现对学生记住扩展词汇很有帮助。
Step4. 1a Match the TV shows with the pictures.1. 引导学生们看图片,根据提示依次说出每一部TV Show的名称2. 让学生们看图片及1a中的词汇,将图片与正确的词汇相连3. Check the answers with the Ss.Step5. Listening (1b)1. T: Tell Ss to read the shows in the box. Make sure they know the meaning of the shows.2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the shows1-4.3. Play the recording again. Check the answers with the Ss.Step6 Pair work(1c)1. Let Ss look at the 5 smile pictures. Then explain the meaning of each picture to the Ss.2. Let Ss look at the PPT then read the short dialogue . Then let Ss look at their books of 1c then make their own conversation using the shows and expressions in the box.3. Let some pairs ask and answer about the shows.设计意图:创设情境,谈论喜欢的节目。
通过两人小组编对话,巩固重点词汇,学习目标语言What do you think of…,同时为引入目标语言I like them, I love them, I don’t mind them, I don't like them, I can’t stand them 做好铺垫Step7. Listening (2a and 2b)Work on 2a:1. Read the shows in the box of 2a. Tell Ss to remember the information.2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the TV shows [1-5].3. Play the recording again to check the answers.Work on 2b:1. Let Ss read the sentences below. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. Make sure they know what to do.2. Play the recording for the Ss to write the correct words in the blanks.3. Play the recording again to check the answers.设计意图:在听的过程中,让学生再次感受目标语言。
Step8. Pair work(2c)1. Tell Ss ask and answer questions about the TV shows in 2a. They can use the information that is true for them.2. Let Ss read conversation in pairs.3. Explain some main points for the Ss.4. Ss act the conversation in pairs. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations. Step9 Show timeGive Ss four minutes to set up a situation and make a dialogue with the new words and sentence pattern , then show it to us . 设计意图:这个部分的设计比较开放,对学生没有任何的束缚,可以自由发挥,可以加强学生综合语言的运用能力,同时也给予学生们展现的平台和空间。
