There is an ozone layer over one of the polar regions. If we didn’t have ozone, there would be too much radiation on the earth. It makes the green house infect. It can melt the ice of the polar regions .If it melted, the land would full of water, people would have no where to live. 4. Help the forests We have cut down millions and millions of trees to make paper, wooden furnishings, some of the chopsticks. So lots of the forests have been lost. And many of the animals are homeless. And many of the plants have disappeared. If there are no trees nothing can help us to produce oxygen and control the climate. 5. New sources of energyThere are some good things to know for the environment, such as the new types of generators. Do you know the wave generator? It makes electricity from the ocean waters. It can produce a lot of electricity but it is difficult for ships to get into the rivers, and it causes floods. Solar cells make electricity from the sun. They can’t cause floods, but they take a lot of space. Wind generators make too much noise. Of course, sometimes we don’t have wind. 6. RecyclingWe throw too many things away. We must recycle everything. Do you use things that are made of paper, glass, metal and plastic? After using them, do you throw them away or recycle them? You have to recycle them. If we do that we will save more things and we won’t have to make new things. 7. What should we do?We should use the bike or the subway. Use less wooden things. Save the electricity.
