This is my favourite story because it is interesting and it teaches us to be hard-working. Module 8 Accidents An Accident One sunny afternoon, when I was riding home, I heard “Help! Help!”. I rode to the riverside and found a boy of about five in the river struggling. I jumped into the water, swam to the boy and dragged him to the river bank. The boy said he was trying to catch a fish near the river bank and carelessly fell into the water. I asked him where his home was and sent him home. “ Thank you very much!” the boy’s parents said when I left his home. Though I got home late that afternoon, I was very happy. 4 Module 9 Population The Increasing Population The increasing population is one of the largest problems in the world. Because of it, people have less and less living space in many countries. More people, more bikes and more cars make the traffic very crowded in most cities. Even parking cars is difficult. In many places of the world, people don’t have enough medicine or food. Some people don’t even have enough water. We must think out some ways to control the increasing population. Living in a City Living in a city has both advantages and disadvantages. It’s much easier for people living in a city to find work than those living in the countryside. Also a city usually has convenient transport. In addition, there are a lot of interesting things to do and places to see in a city. You can go to parks, go to cinemas or visit museums when you want to relax. However, it’s often expensive to live in a city. What’s more, the city is always crowded, noisy and dirty.
