Power LV Capacitor CLMD03Installation,operation&maintenance instructionsPower LV Capacitor CLMD03Installation,operation&mainte-nance instructionsCondensadores de potencia de baja tensin CLMD03Instrucciones de Instalacin,Utili-zacin y MantenimientoCapacitor de Potncia Baixa Tenso CLMD03Instrues para instalao,Utilizao e manutenoNiederspannungs-Leistungskon-densator CLMD03Installations-,Inbetriebnahme-und WartungsanleitungCondensatori di potenza Bassa tensione CLMD03Istruzioni per linstallazione,luso e la manutenzioneCondensateurs de puissance basse tension CLMD03Instructions dinstallation,dutilisation et dentretienAG G Kondansatr CLMD03 Montaj,İletme&Bakm Aklamalar 低压电力电容器 CLMD03 安装,操作与维护手册低壓電力電容器 CLMD03 安裝,操作,維護手冊enesptdefrtrzhszhtit2 English|ABB CLMD03 manualenBefore installation,read this notice carefully and keep it at disposal of people in charge of installation,maintenance and operation.Read this firstSafetyWARNING!Wait 5 min.after isolating supply before handling.After the 5 min.wait and as an additional pre-caution before commencing work,carefully proceed with DC voltage measurement on the terminals and make sure of the capacitor discharge.For a safe use of CLMD03 capacitor units,please ensure Installation and maintenance are undertaken only by authorized and qualified personnel,in ac-cordance with current local regulations;Isolate the equipment from the supply before att-empting to gain access.Inspection on receptionUnpack the CLMD03 and check that:data on the label correspond to those of your purchase order and local regulations;the CLMD03 is not damaged.Any loss or damage should be notified immediately to your closest ABB agent.StorageIndoor,in dry,dust free and non-corrosive environments,protected from vibrations or shocks.Storage temperature:minimum:-40C/-40F,maximum:75C/167F.Transportation and handlingIn case severe conditions of transportation are expected,make sure the fixation points are strong enough to withstand weight of the CLMD03 and vibrations that may occur.WARNING!Failure to respect the installation rules may lead to premature failure,other material damage to instal-lations or bodily injury.InstallationApplicable standardsIEC 60831 Parts 1 and 2.Current local regulations.ProtectionIP00 by default and IP20 with optional top cover.Installation and useIndoor installation on firm foundation or fixed on a rigid plate/frame in well-ventilated situations where the air temperature around the capacitor does not exceed 35C/95F over one year,45C/113F over 24 hours and 55C/131F(according to IEC 60831 Parts 1 and 2 for a-25/D temperature category product).Always refer to the nameplate for exact specifications.WARNING!The ambient temperature for capacitors inside a cubicle is the temperature around the capacitorsand not around the cubicle.WARNING!Like other standard capacitor units,CLMD03 discharge devices are not suitable for use with rapid switching rates like thyristor switched banks.The mini-mum off time of CLMD03 is 40 sec.Additional external resistors are not a solution for such cases.Only specially designed capacitors must be used in such applications.Vertical and horizontal mountingWARNING!Following instructions on mounting must be strictly followed.Incorrect mounting could damage the capacitors.The CLMD03 capacitors must be fixed in such a way as to ensure a natural airflow from bottom to top.The IPE(Internally Protected elements)casings are linked by a solid plate(in dark in Fig.#1)which will block the natural air flow.For instance,mounting in Fig.#2 is forbidden.Several CLMD03 units can be installed side by side,pro-vided that they are in line(Fig.#3).Triangle and square configuration are not allowed.The minimum free space between groups of in-line adjacent units is 25 mm(Fig.#4&5).In case of vertical mounting,use a punched mounting plate or support bars to allow free airflow around capaci-tors units(Fig.#6.Do not mount upside down.(Fig.#8)In case of horizontal mounting,install so that the natural airflow goes through the units without major constraints(Fig.#9).Do not mount so that the natural airflow is blocked(Fig.#10&7).Installation in a cubicleWARNING!Guidelines only apply if the following limits are respected:Maximum room temperature:40C(1 hour).Average maximum room temperature over 24 hours:35C.Average maximum room temperature over 1 year:25C.When the capacitors are installed in a cubicle the com-ponents should be placed in such a way as to optimize the cooling.Do preferably place devices with high heat dissipation above the capacitors to avoid overheating them.When reactors are used they should be placed in such a way that they do not radiate heat directly on the capacitors.A thermal barrier is recommended.Reactors do in general dissipate much more heat,so their thermal impact through convection must also be taken into account.1.Natural air circulationThe difference in height between air inlet and air outlet should be large enough to improve the air circulation.The airflow should
