A Teacher’s Dream Good morning ladies and gentlemen. It’s my great pleasure to be here. The topic of my speech is < a Teacher’ Dream>. To fly up high in the sky is the dream of the bird; To run freely on the landgrass is the dream of the horse; Flowers in full bloom is the dream of spring. And you ask me :“What’s your dream?”“My dream is to be a teacher.” I still remember the first day when I went to my work place. Before that, I was full of enthusiasm. I’m passionate, excepted and longing. However, when I stepped on the compus I was to work. It just shook me. Course the compus is small and antiquated. Also it’s far from the city. Everything seamed unconvenient . I felt confused. If it’s really the thing that I want. This mood didn’t last for a long time. I was attracted by the naughty but cute kids and of course their wildflowers. At the moment, I felt I was needed deeply by the children here. The responsibility suddenly went full of my mind. So I made a decision: To contribute my youth to the naïve and simplicity kids. However, as the time passing, the dull and tedious educational life cut my enthusiasm little by little. Especially when the students can’t finish their homeworks. When they made troubles. When they really bothered me. I was upset angry and totally tired. I lost my pacience. I even wonder my dream. Till after I learnt the spirit of the Chinese Dream which was proposed by chairman Xi. It fired my educational dream again. I ponder : Can developing China, promoting the Chinese people, building the beautiful and harmony country only depend on the one’s short enthusiasm? No. Of course not! It needs our responsibility and persistence. It’s the deep hoping which is endued by thousands of parents, the whole society, and our county. It’s also a promise that we should hold fast. With the developing of the ecomony and the exporting of the labor service, our income improves. At the same time our countryside kids have been children left behind. What a pity. The parents can’t take care of their children by their own. They cant cook breakfast for their kids. They cant check the homework for their kid. They cant sit down and watch a cartoon with their kids. They cant talk face to face. They can even not put on a coat for their kids on a cold winter morning. As a teacher, I think I should not just care about the kids’ studying but also more care about their life just like their parents. For this, our school organized “home visits”. For two months, we have visited 40 percent families. Every time it moved me a lot. Slowly I calmed down. And you can always see we study in the classroom, play games on the playground and communicate in the office. Love is simple: A sincerely smile, an encouraging gesture, sure eyes. These negligible behaviors can really warm the little hearts. Education is the cornerstone of the Chinese people. It related to the future of our country. Education needs dreams. Course there is a dream there is a hope. Education is a supreme career. And the teacher is the dream maker. They are the ladder leading to success. They are the lights lighting the way. I am going to be such an ordinary but meaningfull person. To use my educational dream to build the Chinese dream. That’s my whole speech. Thank you for listening. 。
