    • 生活压力 Stress in life As everyone knows, stress is a natural part of everyday life. Regardless of what you do and your profession and place stress is not avoidable. As the pace of modern life continues to increase, we are always feeling on the go from morning till night. And it is hard to slow down. Therefore, stress goes hand in hand with the life in a competitive society. 每个人都知道,压力是日常生活中的自然局部,无论你干什么,从事何种职业,身处何方,你都无法防止各种压力随着现代生活步伐的不断加快,我们总是感觉从早到晚忙个不停,并且很难停下来因此,在竞争的社会里压力总是与生活相伴 Different people, however, think of stress quite differently. Some believe that stress is not the bad thing it is often supposed to be. They are of the opinion that a certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give purpose to life. Others argue that stress contributes to one’s mental decline and hence endangers his health. According to them, relaxation, the opposite of stress, is essential for a healthy mind and body. 然而,不同的人对压力的想法截然不同。

      有的人相信压力并不像人们常说的那样是件坏事他们认为一定的压力是给生活提供动力和目标的关键其他人认为,压力导致智力减退从而危害健康据他们看来,与压力相反,放松对保持身心健康是十分必要的 Personally, I’m in favor of the former view. I think it is impossible to avoid stress when one is entirely devoted to the career he pursues. In my opinion, it is only when the stress gets out of control that it can lead to poor performance and ill health. 就我个人而言,我更赞成第一个观点我认为当一个人完全投入到他所追求的职业中时,压力是在所难免的关于现代生活的压力Pressure in Modern Life Pressure seems to be a natural part in our daily life in this competitive society. Like it or not there is always pressure of one kind or another. And it seems there is hardly any way to avoid it or get rid of it. Moreover, as the pace of modern life continues to quicken, pressure seems to be on the increase all the time. 压力似乎是在这个竞争剧烈的社会中我们日常生活中很自然的一局部。

      不管喜欢还是不喜欢,总是有一种或另一种压力似乎没有任何方法来防止或摆脱它此外,随着现代生活的节奏不断加快,压力似乎一直在增长 Different people have different ideas about pressure. Some hold that pressure is something very vicious. If there is too much of it, it will lead to the decline of one's physical and mental health. So they are always complaining about it or trying to flee from it. They think, only relaxation, the opposite of pressure, is what we should desire. On the other hand, others argue that pressure is not as bad as is often thought. In fact a certain amount of pressure is essential to provide motivation and meaning to our life. It is pressure that propels our progress and contributes to our success. 关于压力不同的人有不同的想法。

I believe that a little pressure is certainly an important incentive in life. It is only when the pressure gets out of control can it lead to poor performance and bad health. Since it is impossible to avoid pressure, certainly there is no sense trying to do so or complaining about it. 就我个人而言,我支持后者的观点。

Most of these challenges revolve around stress which studies have shown is a part of living. Regardless of what you do and your profession and place stress is not avoidable but could be minimized. Those who see stress as an enemy will probably live an irritable life which is quite unnecessary. 不管你生活在世界上哪一个城市,你都很可能会遇到类似的生活经历和各种各样的挑战.研究证明,大局部这些来自各种压力的挑战已经成为人们生活的一局部,无论你干什么,从事何种职业,身处何方,你都无法防止各种压力,但你却能最大限度的减少压力.因此人们大可不必将压力视为敌人从而使生活烦躁不安. How then do we cope with stress? I am going to give you tips that have helped and are still helping me in coping with life in the city of Lagos Nigeria, the most populous African city, where orientation of people is quite different in many ways about stress and living with others. 那么我们应该如何应对压力呢?让我来告诉你一些小窍门,正是这些小窍门让我在尼日利亚的拉哥斯那样一个人口稠密,人们目标迥异的城市得以应付生活中的各种压力,处理各种人际关系. 1. Wrong views on stress 1 正确地认识压力 Get the right meanings and impression on stress. Those who misconstrued some daily activities or physical exercises as stress will likely be over burdened by what stress is not. You could read up some literatures, journals, or visit some websites and publications like this website to get to know more on stress. I believe when you can relate your activities and place them in right perspectives on what stress is then you could avoid being overwhelmed by some wrong thoughts about it. 我们对压力要有正确的认识,那些错误的把根本算不上压力的日常活动和身体锻炼看做是压力的人就会觉得负担过重,你可以通过读一些文学作品,杂志或者访问一些网页或类似的刊物来更多的了解压力.我相信如果你能正确的认识你所从事的活动,并且能够以正确的眼光来看待什么是压力,你就不会被那些实际并不存在的所谓压力所折服. 2.
