T: Today I m very happy because I move to a new house. Look! This is my new home. I will show you my rooms.1. Look at my new home. (Aim to study new words) a. Show Ss four pictures of bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. b. Introduce new objects “ clock” , “ fridge” , “ sofa” , and “ table” . E.g.: clock (/l/: ruler, lion) fridge (/r/: red, rubber) 2. Can you remember? (Aim to study new sentences “ Where are .? ” “ They re .” ) Show Ss some things that are appeared in the pictures and ask them to remember. E.g.: Where s my clock? (fridge) It s in the bedroom. (kitchen) Where are my toy cars? (grapes) They re in the bathroom. (living room) 3. Big bang! Conclude the differences between two groups of sentences. a. Single object: “ Where s .?” “ It s in / on / under / behind . ”b. Multiple objects: “ Where are .? ” “ They re in / on / under / behind . ”Step three: Presentation and practice. T: Su Hai and Su Yang are also happy today. They also have a new house. Look at their new home. What do they have? (Show Ss a picture about the interior of a house.) Read and answer. Read Story time quietly and find the answers of three questions. Q1: Where s Su Yang s bag? Q2: Where are Su Hai s skirts? Q3: Is Su Yang s white cap in the bedroom? (Think about how Su Hai and Su Yang s questions are answered.) Mum: It s in your bedroom. Mum: They re in the living room, on the sofa. Su Yang: No, it isn t. Su Hai: Your cap is in the kitchen. 3. Let s imitate. Imitate Story time after the video sentence by sentence and compete who imitates better. Notice intonation. 4. Let s read. Read in groups freely by different roles. 5. Let s dub. According to personal condition, Ss choose different levels to dub for Story time. Level 1: Normal, pause is needed. Level 2: Fluent, no pause. Level 3: Proficient, no subtitles. 6. Let s act. 7. Let s retell. Try to retell Story time by some pictures and hints. 8. Let s image. Create some new dialogues for Story time among Su Hai, Su Yang and their mum by using sentences “ Where s .” or “ Where are . ” . E.g. : Su Hai: Mum, where s my clock? Mum: Is it in your schoolbag? Su Hai: No, it isn t. Su Yang: Look, Su Hai! Your clock is in the bedroom, under the chair. Step three: Summary. What have we learned today? 1. Four objects: clock, fridge, sofa, table; 2. 对于不同学生的掌握差异, 还要进行更好的分层教学,课堂上并没有做到每一个学生都能充分参与课堂活动,享受课堂中的每一次互动需要适当加入课堂游戏为课堂教学服务,调节课堂气氛, 展现教学过程的魅力,但不能喧宾夺主, 而且面对游戏中学生的过于积极活跃没有加以较好的调控对于 Story time 的第一课时,还需加强对学生的阅读训练,理解课文对话的适用语境,使得“听、说、读、写”面面俱到还有,对于学生的每一次表现要给予及时而真实的反馈,不能笼统地用“Good!”或者“ You re right!”一言以概之。
