The bees were gone. I ran straight home, hoping there were no more bees waiting for me nearby. That night, I called my neighbour and apologized for jumping into his pool. We met when we were 5 years old because our parents were friends and we went to the same school. He lives in London now. He works as a teacher at the international school there.
