Facing with these, the traditional way of communication — face-to-face communicate, seems to be left behind the times. But in fact, this is not actually true. For me, noting can parallel with face-to-face communication. The following reasons can account for my opinion. For one thing, face-to-face communication allows us to make an interactive conversation. For example, we can clear away the misunderstanding in time. Because a person’s tone of voice or facial expression often reflects his mood, while in other kinds of communication it’s hard for us to perceive the subtle changes of one’s emotion. For another, face-to-face communication can deepen the interpersonal relationship. For instance, trust and respect between businesses partners can be established even with a firm handshake. In a word, face-to-face communication improves the relationship among people and it is the best kind of communication. All the other types are merely the complement of it.On one hand, face to face communication is very effective to some extent. Take interviews for example, it is usually the final step before making the last decision. This step can help the interviewer to know something else beyond the resume and the interviewee to know more information about the company, such as the leads and the environment. The interviewer can judge the interviewees by their actual behavior and appearance. Another example is that loving in different places will not always has a happy ending. That’s because when people get together and talk face to face, they will be more concentrated and they will easily talk to some other topics they have never planed before. And they will feel the feelings of each other by eye sight communication. It seems that face to face communication will avoid some cheating to some extent. And people will feel the mood of the other one and will help to control the talk. Both of the two side will seem to be more frank. On the other hand, the other types of communication is also very common and useful in our life. For example, it will be more convenient for us to choose such ways. For example, for some people, writing letters. E-mails or using mobile phones will be better ways if they live far apart from their hometown or homeland, especially to those overseas students or workers. Due to the long distance, it will be hard for them to communicate face to face very often. Another example is that sending messages can be a more convenient way to choose when the other one is busy studying or working. It can help to avoid disturbing one’s life or work. Another merit of these ways is that communicating by sending messages or talking on phone can avoid embarrassment when it is not ease to talk face to face, for example, when apologizing or asking for sh, form the others.
