He is the chief representative of western fenomenological aesthetics in the 20th century. His research scope is very wide in philosophy and aesthetic aspects, including the theory of value, ethics, theory of knowledge and ontology in terms of philosophy. In aesthetics aspects, he involved in literature, film, painting, architecture, music and many other aspects. He published many works with unique point of view. His aesthetic research has had a profound influence on the develop-ment of the western aesthetic in the 20th century. This article would make a brief introduction of his research and achievements on literary and aesthetics.
