Read through the words on the screen. Have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Read the words separately and have them remember them. (3).Make some sentences with the words. (4) Call back the answers from the whole class.Task 2: Read the table and talk about Project Hope. Directions: (1). Read through the table on the screen. Have the

      4、Ss. discuss their ideas with another pair. (2). Call back some comments from the whole class.Part III: Scanning and Skimming1.Task: Read the passage and choose the main idea. Directions:Step one: The teacher ask the Ss to read the passage “ Hope for the future”Step two: Ss read the passage and find the main idea, giving reasons for the choice given.Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class, having individuals read out the answer2. Task: Match the words with their meanings Directions

Now they can go to school with the help of Project Hope. 在希望工程的帮助下,他们现在可以上学了。 With the help of the dictionary, we can read English newspapers.借助于词典,我们可以读英文报纸了。 They worked out the maths problem with the help of the teacher. 在老师的帮助下,他们算出了那道数学题。3 He stopped going to school a few years ago.他几

      7、年前不上学了。 注意 :stop doing sth. / stop to do sth. 的用法区别: stop doing sth把正在做的事情停下来;stop to do sth. 停下来去做另一件事情。He stopped to have a cup of tea.他停下来去喝杯茶。4Because of Project Hope, thousands of children have better lives.因为有了希望工程,成千上万的孩子们过上了更好的生活。because of表示“因为”,后面接名词或名词短语。如:He didnt go to the park because of the rain.因为下雨,他没去公园。注意:介词短语because of后面需接名词或名词短语,而使用连词 because 时,后面就要接一个从句。如: He didnt go to the park because it rained.因为下雨,他没去公园。Part V: Language use1. Answer the questions in Activity 5 on page 29.Direction: Ss do it by themselves .Lets see who can finish it as soon as possible. Then discuss in pairs and finally share their answers with the class. 2. Give the students some time to recall what theyve learned in this class.Part VI: A test: Exercise 10 on page 126 in the WB. Part VII: Homework: .Retell the text.
