(She is)Much better.(她)好多了。,2.并列句中的省略 在以and,but,or,therefore,so等词连接,或是没有连词而用分号的并列句中,在不影响句意的情况下,并列句中后面的分句与前面的分句相同的部分可以省略。 Bob has done his homework,but Tom hasnt(done his homework). 鲍勃已经做完了家庭作业,但是汤姆还没有。 3.复合句中的省略 (1)主句中的省略。常见于句首或回答问题时,只用从句。 Did you know anything about it? 你以前知道这件事吗? (I did)Not(know)until you told me. 直到你告诉了我,我才知道。,(2)从句中的省略 主从句谓语相同,可以省略从句中的相同部分 She didnt attend the concert,but I wonder why(she didnt attend the concert). 她没参加音乐会,我想知道为什么(她没参加音乐会)。 状语从句 在时间、地点、条件、方式或让步状语从句中,如果主句、从句的主语一致,从句中的谓语动词又包含be或主语是it,常可以把从句中主语和谓语的一部分省略。 【高考典句】(2016·北京卷)I want to prove that I can teach myself a respectful profession without going to college,and be just as good as,if not better than,my competitors. 我想证明,不用上大学,我可以通过自学有一份体面的职业,如果不强于我的竞争对手,起码也要和他们一样好。,(3)省略主从句中的连接词 在宾语从句中that可省略,但如果有两个或两个以上的宾语从句时,除第一个that外,其他that不能省略。 He said (that)he had arrived here two days before and that he had lived in a hotel. 他说他两天前到的这儿,住在了一家旅馆里。 定语从句中,作宾语的that,which或whom可以省略。 The book (that) he bought yesterday was expensive. 他昨天买的那本书很贵。,4.虚拟语气中的省略 (1)should在虚拟语气中通常可以省略 He accepted the suggestion that he(should)go there by train. 他接受了他应该坐火车去那里的建议。 (2)在虚拟语气中,常省掉if,从句使用倒装句式 Had you followed the doctors advice,you would be better now. 如果你听从了医生的建议,你现在就会好多了。 Should it rain tomorrow,we would have to put off the visit till next week. 如果明天下雨,我们不得不把访问推迟到下周。,5.其他形式的省略 (1)介词的省略 在waste,spend,busy,have difficulty/trouble等跟动词-ing形式时,in可以省略;在prevent,stop等后面from可以省略;表示时间的介词at,on,in在next,this,these,yesterday等词前常省略。 11They spent two hours (in) reading books. 他们花了两个小时读书。 (2)所有格后面的名词如果是表示住宅、店铺或上下文已经暗示或明确提出的事物,这种名词可以省略。 12I am going to the doctors (clinic) tomorrow. 我打算明天去诊所。 (3)介词but前面有动词do的某种形式时,后面的to应该省略。 13They did nothing but sit there. 他们无所事事,只能坐在那儿。,(4)省略一个或部分从句,改用so或not代替。 14Will we be late?我们会迟到吗?
