Creating Projects - Labs Chapter 2 - Page 3 Practice - Exercise 2-1 Creating a Project Overview In this exercise you will: Create a project Identify the project schedule Add phases, tasks, deliverables, attachments, and gates to the project Assign team members to the objects and delegate ownership Tasks Creating a Project You need to create a new project for the Nimbus project. 1. Change the name of the project by double clicking the default name “New Project”, filling in XX Nimbus, and pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. 5. Review the Schedule Start Date, Schedule End Date, and Schedule Duration. They should be todays date with duration of 1. The Schedule End Date and Schedule Duration will adjust as you add subordinate activities to the project. The Activities Type should be set to Project.
