Most companies have a website that tells you most things you need to know. A good interview is able to tell if youve done your homework about the company, so make sure you have!Next, think about some of the questions you might be asked and how to best answer them. Or, better yet, do practice interviews with a friend. This allows you to prepare good answers and means you wont have to answer questions off the top of your head during the interview.Dont worry about having butterflies in your stomach before the interview. If youve prepared properly, youll feel confident. Its not like a painful trip to the dentist, so theres no need to be afraid.First impressions are important. Make sure you get a good nights rest, so that you will be refreshed and not yawn during the interview. And gentlemen, make sure youve used your razor or electric shaver to give yourself a good shave that morning. You should make sure that your hair looks neat-you should even get a haircut, if necessary. Its also very important to wear clothes that make you feel confident; your clothes should be smart, but conservative. The interview will begin to judge you as soon as he or she sees you in the waiting room. Wearing a pair of shorts and a T-shirt is certainly not suitable for an interview!When you set off for your appointment, make allowance for the traffic and make sure you are on time, or even a little bit early. You should follow it up by writing and thanking them for giving you the interview. This is not only a polite gesture, but also a final chance to sell yourself to the company.
